Complaint: We are another small business who are victim of YPedia Online Scam (they market themselves as Yello Pages Online Services, PO Box 630445, Irving, TX 75063 1st – They send you info about adding business name. That paper clearly says that it is not a bill but it has fine print that our business will be charged $329. 2nd – They send you a bill few days past one month so automatically comes in as past due. When our staff called them, they said you are already past due and we will send it to collection. Their staff is extremely rude (Malvin Sando Ext 733) and they don’t want to explain anything. At that time, they said we can do a settlement and charged us $260 to not to go to collection. Just to talke care of the situation, our staff agreed to pay. 3rd – As an owner, I thought something is suspicioius. I called several times. They refused to give me an owner name. As I asked more questions, they just hung up. This happened 4-5 times. I insisted to ask manager or owner and they refuse to provide any other name. They basically say that terms and conditions are clear. I explained that it is not standard business practice to hide the cost in the tiny fine print. They know that most medical practices are very busy so they don’t have time to fight back so they take full advantage. 4th – I asked them to fax me all the details. That fax listed another name Jose G. as Manager of Customer Service & Account Development. 5th – I told them that their practices are misleading and fraud and will file a complaint with BBB. I also told them that they were listed in Ripoff Scams and they refuse to comment. Be careful as lots of small businesses are targeted by YPedia.
