YBUY Hollis New York

Complaint: Around six months ago on January 21st I got a gift of $100 from my mother’s friend. This was quite exciting for me because it meant I could finally fix the shattered screen on my asus laptop. So I wondered around on Jamaica Ave, Ny until I came across a store call “Electronics for best””. On thier sign it said in flashy text “”Computer repair. So as you can imagine I was quite excited. I entered the store and requested a laptop repair. After being told there was no point in repairing my laptop the store clerk began informing me of a “”special”” they were currently having. I could rent any laptop from that paticular store and pay it off montly at the same store. Obviously being a poor college student I jumped at the chance to replace my bust old laptop with one that functioned half decently. So after going through the different laptops they had we finally settled on a latop that was supposed to be worth $200. Key word there is “”supposed””. An agreement was made between the clerk and myself that the minimum I would pay each month would be $15 dollars so I agreed and signed the agreement paper in order to take out the laptop. However when I returned home later that day I noticed something odd on the agreement. A part of the paper that they had neglected to allow me to see during my time in the store. The total price for the laptop was $3465 in total! $1650 for the laptop that was supposed to be $200 and $1815 for the cost of rental. They charged me for renting the laptop and it was more that the cost of the laptop. The minimum payment was $288.75 rather than the $15 we had originally agreed on. Not to mention it claimed I made a $64.79 initial payment which is completly untrue. I can not tell you how shocked me and my mother was. We brought it back immediatly afterwards. After going back and forth with the manager and being threatened by that same manager I left the laptop and it’s “”Accesories”” in his handsBut not before verbally expressing my anger towards him and his store. It’s a good thing that my bank had sent me a new debit card because these YBuy jackasses set up an automatic payment without my concent. I was informed of this through a phone call a month later from a YBuy costumer representitive. After that I began getting daily calls from YBuy in addition to multiple “”bills”” from them. Despite me explaining time and time again that I had already returned the laptop and everything that came with it less than seven days after reciving it

Address: they weren’t having it. They insisted that I either pay up or return to the store and get documentation that I returned the laptop. Documentation that had been refused to me by a money hungry manager. My counter argument everytime is that I had already return the laptop and watched as the manager accepted it

Website: or even notified their d**n supervisor. I’m more than convinced now that YBuy know’s perfectly well what’s going on and just refuses to do anything about it. Why else would they hang up on my like they did last week. My suggestion to anybody reading this. If you want a laptop or any electronic just go to best but or pc richards. YBuy is a failure of a professional company and their distributers are even worse. Stay away from YBuy and their stores!”

Phone: anger and all. YBuy’s destributer decided not to inform YBuy of the return and now I’m expected to pay for it? I don’t think so. Despite the many complaints I made about their destributer and the way he treated me and my 57 year old mother not a single YBuy customer representitive has contacted the store
