Complaint: Hello, I sold 2 TV’s by advertising online. The buyer asked if he can pay me using this new app called Venmo. I checked out Venmo and found out that it was like Paypal so I signed and created an ID. He paid the full amount and I verifed that it was available on my Venmo account so I gave him the TV’s. On Jan 24th 2015, I got a text from a guy who wants to buy both of Samsung 55″ Curved TV ($1300 Each) for total of $2600. Website: I did a “”withdraw””. The Venmo Message says it would take 3 to 4 business days. I was unable to withdraw the amount 4 days later because Venmo says the cash was used using a stolen card and they gave the money back to the stolen card. I then did more homework and found that Venmo does not recommend using them for business transactions

Phone: which I use all the time for eBay. I then created a Venmo Account and texted him my user ID. He then paid the full amount and once I verified that it in my Venmo Account
