The New England Hot Dog Company Norwalk Connecticut

Complaint: August 2005 began with a spirit of freshness, and opportunity. I was going to open a new business with hard earned monies earned over a long period of time. I wanted to try something that I believed was fresh and new, and would offer me the freedom to be an individual with entrepreneurial ability. It all ends right about there. I purchased a franchise out of Beverly Massachusetts called New England Hot Dog Company. My brother introduced me to the owners and I was on my way to being my own boss. Sounds great huh? Dream on. From the signing of the documents to exchanging the franchise fees the Advil started to flow in volumes. Why? It did not go as smooth as I was lead to believe. For example. I was told the build out of my new store would be in 30 days. In fact it took over 100 days. Talk about sweating it out financially for a new owner using his own funds. This is where my nitemare begins to unfold in to the Hell of dealing with a new and untested franchise company, That has officers who are not teaching or guiding but misleading one to believe in a hype that they just purchased the best idea since the microchip. I was the crash test dummy for New England Hot dog company that never made it back to the lab for evaluation. I was now the sacrificial lamb for their new up and coming franchise experiment. If I could have redeemed my 20k dollar franchise fee at this point I would have ran out of dodge stat. They had me by the gizzard and they knew it. I’m not throwing stones but warning those who believe in used car salesman approach to selling franchises. Within 10 months I was out of business losing everything I had invested. I sued them in arbitration, and won. For the past two years they have claimed poverty. On 8/27/09 I was granted an attachment to their bank accounts in superior court. They still won’t pay up. I am currently unemployed, and broke. I have just found an article that says that they have sold 16 new stores this year alone. The link: . The franchise fees are $20,000 per store =$320,000 + royalties and build out income, yet they still won’t pay me.That is why i’m here to complain about this travesty of justice. Thank You for listening. My Blog :
