I just hate being lied to but that is what the staff at Bend Subaru did to me. I enrolled in a special buyers program offered by Subaru. The program has a waiting period before you officially qualify, although many dealers are willing to wave that and sell to you if you provide the proof you are enrolled. Bend Subaru agreed to wave the waiting period and sent me an email stating they would honor the special program pricing. Well, I drove over 400 miles to bend oregon to be backdoored by the sales people and the owner. They pointed out to me once I sat down to finalize the deal I didn’t officially qualify. They offered me their idea of a good deal. It was not the deal we had agreed to over the internet. They must have thought if I drove that far I would accept the deal they wanted to offer. No way! I got into a heated argument with the salesman and the owner. We all went over the emails that were exchanged before I ever drove out. They said they just couldn’t do the special pricing because they would lose money. What bs! The package I was wanting on the car had Subaru giving them back $1000.00. I also was going to finance through Subaru. How much profit do they need to make in this tough economy! They didn’t even try to make it right with me by offering something in between their pricing and the program pricing. I am a retired fire department Lieutenant. These people are unscrupulous and not trustworthy! I would recomend boycotting and not buying from this dealership.
