In January 2011 I paid $15.95 with a cashier’s check to register with Star Rebates, Inc.’s fuel rebate program. For five months beginning in February 2011 I faithfully submitted monthly vouchers with fuel receipts in order to receive $20 fuel rebate gift cards each month (total $100). When I didn’t receive the promised rebates, I repeatedly emailed the company and was repeatedly advised that the company was experiencing delays at their processing center. I tried calling their customer service phone number on several occasions but never got to speak with a live person. I never received a return phone call after leaving voicemail messages. When I completed the five-month program I was supposed to receive a refund of my orginal registration fee. To date I have not received a dime from this program.
