Shopping Essentials Scam

On an unaffiliated web site, you are encouraged to check a box that says, yes, I would like a rebate. for $20 or so. You never get the rebate, but you do get billed 12-20 dollars per month. They will claim that you are offered rebates, but they lie. The monthly charge will appear as: SHOPPINGESSEN272985850 11.95or similar. Not real noticeable mixed in with a lot of other charges. That is the plan, of course: keep charging you until you notice then offer you a one month refund. I rate this as very severe not because of the economic damage to me, but because there are thousands and thousands and thousands of people being charged $10-20 per month and the credit card companies do not care and the legislatures are not doing anything.

Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Shopping Essentials Scam. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike Beware.org, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
