Deceptive Practices

My Complaint: On March 29,2016 I was contacted by Mr. Shawn Kane, representing Sell Vacant Land (SVL). He stated that he heard I was interested is selling some property in New Mexico and that he would like to sell it for me. The property is in Valencia County and is a two parcel lot. He stated that the selling price would be $27,600.00 ($13,800.00 per lot). He further verbally stated that his companies advertising and marketing fee of $1226.00 would be due at the ‘end’ of the sale and would not be taken out of my checking account until the sale was complete. This seemed fair to me since no money would be exchanged until ‘after’ the sale of the land. On April 6, 2016 SVL withdrew from my banking account the sum of $1226.00 and the land has not yet been sold. Upon doing some research I have discovered that there are al least three other complaints against Mr. Shawn Kane and his company, Sell Vacant Land, for the same or similar acts. What recourse do my wife and I have to get the $1226.00 put back into our account and to tell others to be careful of these deceptive practices?

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on Beware.org, it is strongly advised to avoid SellVacantLand.com in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from SellVacantLand.com. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike Beware.org, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
SellVacantLand.com is rated 1 out of 5 based on the reviews submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
Never trust websites which offer a shady ‘advocacy package’ to businesses. Search for relevant reviews on Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see more unbiased reviews.
