Complaint: Worked for this company for over a year managing. Worked my butt off putting in extra time; energy, focus etc. its a very demanding company especially with the tough economic times and it’s finacial standings challenges; Loved the challenges since i still made money for them at the end of the day.I requested to take time off from vacation hours owed from last Year (it was the soonest time since we are on vacation lock down during the major busy holidays) and also had a march 2011 deadline of take it or loose it .Boss approved and acknowledged request; I have e-mail of this dialogue. While on vacation he (my immediate boss) allegedly cancelled my vacation due to a pending investigation.Ironically I had just informed (2nd day on vacation) him of my medical early pregnancy complication condition (detailing that i had to either take a leave of absence or drastically reduce my work load hours of 55 hours and some of the heavy lifting, long hours standing) I was on an official 2 week vacation break; owed and had to be taken mark you.I had a major complications on my 2nd day on vacation and ended up admitted in an hospital. I immediately e-mailed my bossed and all maybe concerned to make sure i did the right thing professionally ; i included all necessary paper work related). Honesty is the best policy. Heard nothing from him the rest of my time away or even a response acknowledging my e-mail.Simple Silence; thought all was well and we will caught up on my return because he probably had a planned stratergy in mind. Still concerned i checked up with him with regular; i heard from other sources that both my assistant managers were on involuntary suspension and i talked to on in depth on 2 occasions.My boss did not contact me until almost at the very end of my vacation (e-mail). Requesting for me to meet with him at my store location 2 day to my return due date. On arrival he presented me with my last paycheck minus my vacation hours owed from last year since “we are in a right to work state””.He insist that he terminated my employment based on pending investigation that was not conclusive buy held me responsible for not enduring to company policy.I find it very suspicious and ideal on his part that; the time-line and respond time and steps taken (nothing on paper just his word >I have but no defense; his word against mine<He actually even denied that he ever approved of my vacation time :wow……………slap on the face (like i just took off 2 week without pay without permission; how crazy would that be? How arrogant and stupid does that sound to just about anyone. Liar !!!He repeatedly stated that i was a great worker and hated to see me go. What a load of excuse; like spitting in my face “”Why are you pregnant now i have to fire you”” I had to give it a rest and put on my survival instict on for especially my unborn kid (4 month pregnant) She needed a roof over her head and a had to get another job ASAP.i wish had the time and money to pursue full legal action on this case but some times life does not give you that comfort; i trust Karma does however and especially to this evil being pausing as a leader in what might me a great company run by wrong individual.I did call the HR department trying to voice my compliant and got a earful of smack-down.Thank you for taking the time to read my report.sincerely.I can n”
