Complaint: Beware of this company!!! A few years ago, I began using Sage Payment Processing as a method of accepting credit cards on my website. Issues arose when a customer used a stolen credit card to purchase items from my website. Sage (without permission) deducted the purchase amounts from my bank account 1 month AFTER I had shipped the products to the customer. Luckily Wells Fargo abruptly put a stop to any more deductions, but I am now still doing battle with Sage regarding the dispute of funds. Sage is intentionally ripping off me (the online seller), instead of going after the criminal who used the stolen card. They are trying to make me refund this money for the goods purchased & received by the thieving customer. I have receipts proving that the customer received the products they u201corderedu201d yet that matters not to Sage. They need to be addressing this problem with the credit card issueru2019s company, not me. So far, Iu2019ve filed complaints against them at StopFraud.gov. This is a mess of a company who clearly does not know how to handle credit card transactions. My secondary form of payment acceptance is via Paypal. I had a similar incident with them a few years ago – they immediately refunded my money after I emailed proof of delivery. No problems, no mess. Sage is guilty of scandalous business practices and have allowed the real criminal in this situation to go scott free.
