Roomster.com

Paid to get listing of rental properties but the listings seems fake.

My Complaint: I initially went to craigslist to look for property rentals. I saw a post for a rental that seemed to good to be true so I contacted the provided phone number via text. Then the contact person texted back a link to create an account on roomster. I clicked on the link which directed me to create an account on roomster.com and pay $9.95. I paid it then I was told to submit a picture of the front and back of my i.d. I did that as well. Then I began to contact the listings at the website but was not allowed to see any replies as I was to pay $5.95 if I wanted to read those messages. I am worried as I have given my i.d. to this website and now it seems as if the listings were fake as well.

My Demand: close this website

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on Beware.org, it is strongly advised to avoid Roomster.com in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Roomster.com. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike Beware.org, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
Roomster.com is rated 1 out of 5 based on the reviews submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
Never trust websites which offer a shady ‘advocacy package’ to businesses. Search for relevant reviews on Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see more unbiased reviews.
