Southern Careers Institute scammed for schooling after garduation. San Antonio Texas!!. I enrolled to this school for a whole year, to study for Medical Billing Coding Specialist. I had a full time job and attend full time school with full responsibility at home with children, including 2 with disabilities at that time. I put hard work to manage to graduate when that year came. Which was in December 16,2010. I finally was proud to accomplish a goal in my life I always wanted to do. Then to realize that the school lied about job placement after graduating. I still kept on looking for work online and continued to do so for about 2 years to find out most clinics and hospitals were asking for 2-3 years of job experience. All doors closed in on me with school payments left to still continue for more years after this dissapointment in my life. I had no other option to look for a second job to be able to pay for my own bills including school payment as well. Hardest thing I had to do. Till this day it was a waste of my time and money. Never called me back for job placement or any assistance at all.I just ask that what this school did to this household, it will not happen to anybody else. That is trying to further their education in life. I make this report today, so other people can be aware of this. Very expensive course toatling $13,949.97 with a sponsor and pell grant added, still made no sense looking at contract and numbers. I ended paying more out of my pocket more than$5,000.00 . When it should of only been $2823.91.
