My husband and I have been staying at the Intown Suites on Mazyck Rd. in North Charleston, SC for 3 weeks. We were illegally ousted from our rental and had to find an extended stay property that was available on the spur of the moment. We are quiet and peaceful people. However, over the past three weeks we have endured countless issues with this hotel. I have personally utilized the internet based web complaint form on the hotel homepage, in addition to speaking with the hotel GM personally and in writing. I have made 4 phone attempts to the corporate office in Atlanta, GA and you cannot get a live person on the phone, no matter which extension that you dial. You always get voice mail, and half the extensions that have voice mail are full. | I have been trying to reach the corporate office since Friday. It is now Wednesday. I have left messages. I have sent in web complaints. I have tried to zero out to a live body. Nothing. The only people, ironically, that you can actually speak with is the reservations line. Of course, they refer you back to the guest complaint hotline that is always full via voice mail, or if you are lucky enough to get to leave one, it is never returned. | I have zeroed out to payroll, HR, etc., and it is utterly impossible to reach a human being. | So, here we sit as we are attempting to take our prior landlord to court also to try and job search from the “hotel” and here is what we get for $368.67 per week. | 1) Roaches | 2) An unstable and basically non functional “free wifi” connection, to the point that we had to call TMobile and add a hot spot to our account, so that we could conduct our job searches and utilize the internet with a stable connection. | 3) There are no security cameras on this property, except one of course by the front office door. The property is trash ridden, drug infested, and dirty. | 4) Loud, obnoxious upstairs neighbors that drag furniture across the floor all night and yell and scream. They dump dirty ashtrays and trash over the balcony into our parking spaces where we park. | 5) No running water as of about an hour ago. | 6)Weekly “housecleaning” consists of nothing-floors are dirtier after they mop with a black, unrinsed mop. Sheets are changed, but stained. Floors never vacuumed. Bathroom not cleaned properly. | 7) Three out of the 5 washing machines do not work. Many of the dryers are out of order and missing control buttons. | Do not stay at this hotel, or any of their properties. | We have tried in good faith to reach corporate and no one cares. | We are going to have to find another extended stay and pay even more until we can get through the court situation for unlawful ouster and get back on our feet financially. | Consumers Beware. This place is horrible.
