Avoid. Went to HobNob Kitchen in Naples, Fl. to celeberate my wife’s bithday. A few hours before arriving on Dec. 27, 2016, I snuck away from my wife to call this restaurant. I asked the lady if we could have a piece of dessert at the end of the meal with a candle on it for my wife’s birthday. She said no problem. | When we arrived and my wife and 2 kids were ahead of me, I reminded a guy at the restaurant’s greeting desk of my request. He also said no problem. | When the bill arrived, I wrote on it that I would like a dessert with a candle on it to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and was told by other employees that this was going to happen. I even gave a larger than normal tip to avoid an issue. After reading my request, the waiter came back and told my wife to her face that she was not going to get a dessert with a candle because nobody told him about it. This was suppose to be a surprise, and he tells it to my wife! Very embarrassing for me. The waiter then walked away and wouldn’t come back. When we were leaving, I told him I wanted the tip reversed. He said no. | My repeated requests for a response and a reversal of the tip to the general manager, Jeremy Caprari, and then to the owner, Mike Hernandez, have gone unanswered. I did not want to do this post here, but these folks have left me no option. They should be avoided. While the food was ok, there are better options on the strip.
