I ported my phone a few days after my billing cycled and charged my bank account $40.00 figuring I’d get back with them later and get a refund for the pro-rated amount. About 1-2 weeks later I ported the remaining phone I had with Cricket to a cheaper company as I don’t use the talk feature much, only internet. I get on wi-fi mostly to talk or surf so I don’t need this higher priced service. I called customer service today and now I find out there will be absolutely NO REFUNDS! They claim it is on their terms and conditions page on their website. I haven’t checked this to be sure but some foreigner with a heavy accent named “Andy Smith” (I’m sure that was her name, lol) says she would gladly read it to me. I declined her offer and told her I would be looking into any legal recourse I have and that I would be getting on every site I could to warn others of this company’s shady tactics. Watch out for this if you need to cancel service. They have credited me in the past and I assumed they would be decent about it but they weren’t!
