I went to Brown College in 2001-2003 for visual communication. The classes were sub par with scolastic material that was on the same level of high school, and you could perhaps teach yourself on your own. When I graduated I soon came to find our they were unacredited, and very few people who had graduated from brown had ever received jobs. They even lost my resume 3-4 times and made no attempt to help me find a job in my field even after I was incredibly proactive about getting involved. When I first came to see the school the advisor assured me that we would find a job from a program at Brown college. Nearly 20 years later myself, and nearly my entire graduating class do not have jobs in our field. I am a janitor and can barely handle paying these loans off. After spending all this money I am left at poverty level income while I have accumulated around 5,000$ in interest. I will be paying these off for the rest of my life unless I pay 3-500$ a month for nearly ten years which will leave me impaired and living paycheck to paycheck. I wish I could get out of this debt so I could actually have a positive outlook at providing for a family some day.
