Pimsleur Approach

Charging my credit card without permission

My Complaint: Pimsleur offers a promotion of a first lesson cd (English-Spanish) for $9.95. I purchased the cd and paid online by credit card. I made no request for further cds, but they sent additional cds, and charged my credit card for the additional cds without my knowledge or permission, using the credit information I had given for the first purchase. When I realized I had been unlawfully charged, I contacted them and the website states that consumers will receive additional cds free for 30 days, and then will be charged for the products sent by the company to consumers. This is absolute theft – products are sent without being requested and then the credit card information provided in a previous purchase for no other purpose is copied and reused without the permission of the credit card holder and without their knowledge. The company unlawfully reuses the credit card information over and over (I was charged 4 times and they claim I owe them more for further products they continued to send unsolicited) without even informing in advance that the card will be charged or asking for a signature on the charge.

My Demand: Full refund for myself and publicizing the scam so all others charged unlawfully by Pimsleur in this way can get their money back as well.

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on Beware.org, it is strongly advised to avoid Pimsleur Approach in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Pimsleur Approach. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike Beware.org, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
Pimsleur Approach is rated 1 out of 5 based on the reviews submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
