On the spot Autobody

Claiming they had 11 years of experience they stopped me on the street to offer their services.
They said they could fix the damage I had on my car for $200 (I knew it was way more expensive than that ). They had a truck with the logo of the company parked right there and they were working on a car parked right behind them. He promised Everything was going to look just like new, like the damage never happened…
They did a very bad job, didn’t fix anything spray painted over the damage and covered it with some greenish wax so I wouldn’t see the results until the next day. They wanted $300 cash… I realized that they were no professionals and that it was a scam so I gave them $70 for their time and I left…
I shouldn’t have gave them anything since they actually damaged the car ????
He punched some holes with a screw driver on the side of my door to try to fix a dent….
. I demand Pay for the damage they did to my car (holes on side of the door). Stay away
