Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. Review

Last week I ordered the Chicknic pak online from this restaurant, dinner for 4 that includes one whole chicken, 2 sides and 4 rolls for $19.95 I had no problem getting my order and was satisfied. I went to the same location today, 9/1/16. I tried to order the same dinner and I was told they were out of whole chickens but they could substitute so I left. I arrived home and decided to check online ordering as I did the first time. Online showed I could order this dinner. I then called to see what the substitution would be. I talked to an employee who told me they could do 1 lb of chicken that is “equivalent” to the whole chicken. He told me not to order online but to call for my orders? I went back to pick up the order and was charged $29.95. I was to be given a $2.00??? discount?? I told the cashier that is wrong. He did not want to honor the “equivalent” price for the “equivalent” meal. I decided to call the Lathrop and the Stockton locations. They said they too were out of the whole chickens but that the Lathrop store would honor the $19.95 price. Bait and switch is illegal and they should be notified that what they are doind is illegal.
