The Installation provided by cover Floors not only damaged our home, but after speaking to a Knoa’s Customer Service Representative it also voided the “Manufacturers Warranty”. When Icomplained they threatened to file charges because I stopped payment when they never showed back up the next day to finish, or repair the flooring. Then tried to “Blackmail” me into keeping my mouth shut with threats of suits and jail! | See the issues below. the CEO Called me a Snowflake and said I got what I deserved. I was unaware making a living and being responsible gave people the right to steal from you, try and blackmail you in todays society! | Sales Issues: | 1.) Asked If flooring was Scratch Resistant, Waterproof and carried the same qualities and properties as the Prego flooring I was looking at purchasing. | 1a.) You said the flooring was scratch resistant, and held the same qualities, and the difference in pricing was because you received a distributer discount. | 1b.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; The Flooring is not Scratch resistant, nor is it’s qualities similar to Prego Flooring. | 2.) Asked if Underlayment was similar to Trafficmaster Premium I had purchased for 1/2 the price you were charging,? You assured me it was not, and was Premium contractor Grade. | 2a.) I checked the Barcode and Product Id, and it is the same I purchase for less, and not the recommended X10 LVT Underlayment. | 3.) I asked if primed quarter Round was same as I could purchase for .40 to a LF or Hickory for 6.00 per 96″ you said no it was ” Laminate Quarter Round Molding” | 3a.) It was indeed the same and not Laminate Quarter Round Molding but standard cheap Primed Quarter Round. | 4.) I asked if your installers were Lessened, Experienced, and Insured, in case of damage to flooring or our home. | 4a.) You said they were indeed with more than 10 years experience, which they were not. | 5.) You said it was $2.75 per foot Installed, which it was not. and there was not “Transparent Pricing” | 6.) Nor is the Warranty transferable, which we told you this home was being repaired to sale and you said that was not an issue with the warranty. | Installation Issues: That Voided Manufacturers Warranty | 1.) Laminate flooring was installed within an hour of delivery on the same day. Thereby (voiding the “Manufacturers Warranty”) | 1.a) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; Knoa’s Laminate flooring boards must be acclimatized for 48 hours in the room where they will be installed at a minimal temperature of 65* F. | 2.) Your Installers had doors and windows open, with heater set on 53* to stop our heater from running constantly. Thereby (voiding the “Manufacturers Warranty”) | 2a.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; Installation should take place at room temperature of at least 65°F (15°C). A floor surface temperature of 59°F, (voiding the “Manufacturers Warranty”) | 3.) Your Installers had the overall room temperature of 53* to 60* and surface floor temperature well below 59* | 3a.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; floor surface temperature of 59°F and an overall room temperature of 64°F must be ensured before and during Installation. | 4.) We were not Provided directions for Maintenance and care after installation when requested, so the painters left the Thermostat at 53 until we returned 48hrs later. Thereby (voiding the “Manufacturers Warranty”) | 4a.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; an overall room temperature of 64°F must be ensured before, during and three days after the installation. | Installation Issues: | 1.) There were multiple (14+) chips in the Flooring and still several they missed with the “Minwax pen” | 1a.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; the manufacturer’s Warranty as stated on pages (1. 2. & 3.) of Knoa’s Laminate Warranty, Care, and Maintenance 30 Year Residential Limited Warranty under “What Is Not Covered By These Warranties?” | 2.) Asked for a copy of Knoa’s Warranty, Approved Floor care/maintenance methods,. | 2a.) Was told they were not provided and would have Chris call me, but they were just installers | 3.) Floor creaks in multiple locations and is noisy when you walk on it. | 3a.) Per Knoa’s Flooring Representative; Noise happens because of poor installation environment and/or poor or improper Installation methods. | 4.) The front door and trim was damaged by your installers and left Sharp metal extending from under the door in a manner that was unsafe and later injured my family and guests. | 5.) Your installers did not install threshold ( T Molding) in all areas as purchased. | 6.) The t molding that was installed in transitions for tile are damaged, poorly installed, and loose. | 7.) there is flooring adhesive protruding under T Molding. | 8.) The Flooring is unlevel and you can feel the edges of the bricks and voids under the flooring. | 9.) The flooring is bowing and raised in several areas. | 10.) There are still Multiple Chips, and several if the Joints/Seams are beginning to Bow and Raise. | 11.) Installers made repeatedly used Profanity, and made crude comments in Spanish about my girlfriend, assuming we were not bilingual.
