Corky’s Mobile Home Transport & Setup, Inc. Review

We called this company to get a quote to level our mobile home. Spoke to John and told him what we needed and that we had not seen the house for a few years, but had been told that tie down straps were either loose or missing. We gave him the address and he asked what size the mobile home was. I told him it was a 16′ by 80′. He said the price would be $750.00. I then asked if he didn’t need to look at it first and he replied that was the cost for that size home and if there was a couple straps missing it would not be extra unless there were a lot missing. We paid the amount in cash since they do not take credit cards. A few days later, he called us and said it would cost $400.00 more. That type of business practice is very unethical in my opinion. We then contacted them and asked for our money back and a written estimate to send to our insurance company. they only refunded $500.00 claiming they were charging for checking level of home, but that they did not level the home. Their refund receipt states they sent us the refund on June 20, 2017, but the letter was postmarked June 26. Evidently they couldn’t even be truthful about that. Needless to say we are NOT HAPPY!
