We were trying to get out of a lease with our existing printer company so I posted on Craigslist looking for someone to help or take over the lease. Copier geeks contacted me & offered their help in return that I sell them the printer at a low price. I agreed, without doing research as we wanted to close up business. My biggest mistake! | After they helped me via email attain the printer I got the check from them & they immediately had it collected by a shipping company, and as I was later informed, it was shipped directly to a new buyer! In the mean time I lodged the check only to find out it bounced a few days later! | i reached out to the company straight away & they said they would resend. They didn’t & I went to the cops, but they said it’s a civil matter. | Finally after months of calling them I finally got a hold of them, they were dirty business men well aware of what they did, claimed they were in bankruptcy! If I had money I would go to the office location & demand my money! They got paid for a printer I never got paid for! The new owner was aware of this, but I couldn’t get his info from the shipping company. He was scared that he was in possession of stolen property, technically he is but it’s not his fault. | If I never see the money I don’t mind, but I don’t want other people being victimized.
