Kept telling me to make a payment

My Complaint: I received a letter via US Mail stating that I had an outstanding balance of $365.75 for the magazine subscription Entertainment Weekly and that Collect Pros was handling the debt. I called the number provided to dispute the debt and an Iranian sounding woman kept telling me the debt would be resolved if i payed the debt today at 20% off. I stated several times I was not paying for something I never ordered much less never received, but her response was just that i needed to pay on the debt, just worded differently each time. Finally, she said all disputes have to be done in writing and to go to www.collectpros.com/dispute. I went to the website, entered my reference number and there were no further instructions on where to send the written dispute or other additional information.

My Demand: For this debt to be taken off my credit

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on Beware.org, it is strongly advised to avoid Collectpros.com in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Collectpros.com. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike Beware.org, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
Collectpros.com is rated 1 out of 5 based on the reviews submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
Never trust websites which offer a shady ‘advocacy package’ to businesses. Search for relevant reviews on Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see more unbiased reviews.
