I am in the process of trying to help my daughter pay her car off after determiming that she has become the victim of rip-off artists who use the struggles of the poor to make money off them. The NO CREDIT CHECK and AFFORDABILITY ads draw them in while the REPO GUYS make money off them. If it were not for me, she would have lost her car by now and it would have been RESOLD. I never have this much trouble holding onto my own vehicle when I am late with reputable car dealerships. At any rate, she began her journey with the CAROLINA SELECT AUTO; 650 Edgefield Rd.; Belvedere, SC which has permanently closed and has become a part of CAROLINA AUTO MALL. She struggled to pay for an auto which beginning balance was $4,726.19 and at the point when she owed $676.19 on the car they repossessed it and attached a $450 REPO FEE on the car.We paid $700.00 to get the car back and they are asking for $75.00 after attorney negotiation (was $100.00 per week) to pay off another $456.10.The average poor person would have lost their vehicle at this point. To avoid further behavior of this nature, I am trying to pay the car off as I expect further REPO FEES as there is nothing in writing pertaining to this arrangement and the original payment address is no longer valid. Everything discussed verbally. Today I am sending $456.19 to CAROLINA AUTO MALL; 1533 Edgefield Road; North Augusta,SC. If my daughter continues to have REPO issues and fees in the meantime, can someone suggest a good lawyer who is farmiliar with the activities of this company. | My email address is [email protected]
