There was no noticeboard on the psych and addictions ward of our rights and I did not get a bill of rights and have to sign a paper saying I had gotten one. This was AGAINST BC LAW. | Also, a curly redheaded nurse said that we psych patients were not cognitively capable of psychotherapy yet; that medication had to come first. | They lied to me and said I had had had to take the medication, though BC law says that even involuntary patients can refuse, and I never got any paper of any court order to medicate me. | There were good people there too tho. But when at breakfast one day I was telling other patients of the rights they would have had in Texas, a nurse came along and gave me a PRN. LOL. | I was also coerced into signing away my right to recieve my court papers to another person, when I should have recieved them myself from an officer from the court (BC law). I am traumatized by this 7 years later and want a reform.
