I was asked if I was hungry and ready to work, I said sure am! I was told I would be making $12 an hour and was hired as a driver. First day of work, I started at 7 am and was placed with a driver. I worked from 7 am until 7 pm loading, unloading, lifting constant moving and working with no complaints. Before leaving work at 7:15 pm, the driver handed me $80 and walked away. I thought it was a generous tip. Next day I went in to talk to Jason who hired me and told me I would be making $12 an hour and would be receiving a driver number and asked if the driver was to give me any money. He told me yes, drivers pay at the end of the day. I asked what happened to the $12 an hour and my driver number. He told me that lady was too busy to get number and that I went out on contractiong job and the driver is the one who pays me. I told him that I was no informed about that before starting and that at $80 for 12 hours of work was less than minimum wage. Jason told me he would talk to driver but that the driver has a pretty steady pay he gives. He also told me I would be going out with same driver that day. I told him $6.50 an hour is unacceptable and I wanted to know about the $12 an hour I was to be making. Jason, the one who hired me, who told me I would be making 12 an hour and even told me they would help me later get a CDL license, lied aboout it all! He stood up, shook my hand and said sorry it is unacceptable and walked away from me. I stood there not knowing what to do or even say! I made $80 for 12 hours. Driving was minimal, it was all work. I have custody of my 3 and 4 year old child and I need steady work and people like this should be held accountable. They make money off people and treat workers wrong. I read the employee reviews after what happened. Should have read before applying.
