We had called out Brian Wight Constrution back in June, 2013 to get estimates to fix flooring and door issues on a recently bought house. | This contractor wanted to charge us over $30,000 – with more money to be added on problems he may or may not find. | We made the critical mistake of telling him that we hired a lawyer, Earl Wiggers, to help us with the house issues and to sue the home inspector who missed these problems. | We told him, that his estimate was way out of line. Knowing he would not get a job from us, he told us of a bad experience he had this this lawyer and advised us to ‘RUN AWAY FROM THIS LAWYER.’ He told us to get our retainer money back. | He said that this lawyer took $500 from him and did nothing. | He even had us meet with his own lawyer – who also told us to get our retainer money back. | He caused us to “panic” and we tried to get the lawyer to return our money – since it was only 6 weeks he had the money and the lawyer did nothing of value for us. | Well, the lawyer refused to return the money, made up a false billing statement and the State Bar would not help us. This Wiggers was a very nasty person – but now, we will never know if we could have won our case against the home inspector and real estate agent. | We took the lawyer to court, and had Mr. Wight as a character witness. When on the stand in court, we thought this Mr. Wight would relate the same story he told us, but TO OUR SHOCK, said that the lawyer NEVER DID ANYTHING TO HIM AND HE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. | We now believe, this contractor tried to GET EVEN with us, because we did not give him the job and he wanted to prevent us from gaining any money for the house problems. | Thus, in our “panic” we lost our chance to claim any monies from the home inspector. | In hindsight, we never should have had this Brian Wight Constrution to our home for any estimate and never should have told him about our legal problems. | We were very upset – at the time – and were VULNERABLE. | We wish we NEVER met Brian Wight Construction. | We no longer live in Georgia and moved way out West to get away from the Good Old Boy Cronyism that runs rampent there.
