stay the f*** away from this place!!!!!!!!!!!! ps-see there yelp reviews!!!!! horrible!!! | yes, this review is long but people deserve to know what goes on behind the scenes at this location. i wouldn’t waste my own time writing this if it wasn’t true. | i lease a 2016 optima. one day my car wont start. checked all standard signs (no gas, oil, battery dead etc.) couldn’t find problem. called kia and they advised to have it towed to their location. | arrives on a friday. they said they would get right on it bc it was emergency car arrives at 12pm. call around 3 to follow up. still no check in. spoke to a steve and pete.. both d***s! | saturday comes along, still no call. i call to follow up they still havent gotten to it. sunday/closed. i call monday to follow up (still no call from them) im told they are diagnosing problem and will call me back. (btw-be prepared to wait on hold four 20 mins at a time) | peter is never available to come to the phone. i heard every possible excuse not to pick up the phone | finally, eric picks up the phone. he explains to me they are still running tests. he said he is personally working on it and will call me with an update asap. | he calls me tuesday and says i need a new engine. | when my car was first dropped off i asked for a loaner and come to find out they don’t have any because the owner of the company cut there fleet down in half. i then asked if they can reimburse me for a rental. they said no. | at this point, i am demanding some sort of accommodation because of the poor customer service i had to deal with the past week. | i insist once again to speak to a manager or owner…of course neither are available. | i told him i would hold until they became available. | magically as im on hold a loaner car just pulled in to the dealership…. they must really think im stupid lol. | i walk in, the receptionsit who barely looks like she spent 5 minutes putting herself together in the morning is sitting at her desk with open food containter and earbuds in her ear. i mean how unprofessional can someone really be????? | she points to the area where she “belives eric is”. you can’t get up and check? so, pathetic. | i walk back and of course there is no one in sight. wait 20 mins. finally, eric comes to the service dept. | he starts to explain why no one has called me back. he tells me “pete doesn’t like to call people with bad news” really? a grown a*s man can’t pick up the phone at his job to call his customer? very odd. | i was shocked he even told me this but then after speaking with him he hated working at kia east meadow. nothing that he said was posotive. this really opened my eyes and answered a lot of my questions. | he tells me the engine should be there next week and he will call me. | i called kia consumer affairs to express how much of a headache it has been with the east meadow dealership. they told me “okay i will note the account” | at this point, i knew no one cares. | 2 weeks later kia still has my car and i still have not received any calls for a follow up. | i call on tuesday and have to wait on hold for 27 minutes to speak to a manager. finally, he picks up and it’s a sales manager?!?!?! he can’t help me because hes not in the service dept. he said he would have the service manager call me first thing in the morning. he also told me not to expect a call from the owner because the owner would never call. that’s nice…. | long story short i finally get my car back the following week. when i go to pick it up i am greeted by eric who tells me this is his last day. i asked if i had anything to do with it and he said yes, but in a good way. he was absolutely fed up with dealing with angry customers like myself. he said it was disgusting what i had to endure for almost a month!!!!!! | he told me he was going to another dealership and is looking forward to working for people who care about him and the customers!!!!!!!!!!!! | hopefully you made it this far and relly consider doing any type of business with this place. | this place is corrupt and they really should be investigated!!!!!!
