Allen Solar & Electronic Review

Jeremiah Allen (& his wife, Sonia, who occasionally serves as an uninformed spokesperson for their business) not only scammed my daughter & myself, but also came close to burning our wooden house down. He charged me a hefty price for his services. He was always easy to contact by phone, but after I paid him the final dollar, (thinking he had done the things he claimed he did), it was always very difficult to reach him. (He only takes cash or “bitcoin” in payment, so there is no going back to a credit card co. to assist in making things right when services promised are very different from what you actually receive. | We were scheduled to move into our new home in Dec., but because he could not get the solar set up working properly, we were forced to wait until March. He informed me , btw, after we had moved in that his warranty which “he had not been able to print up for me before, was only good for 90 days, and that it was only for his workmanship, not for any equipment failures. (The 90 days were already past.) I paid more for his solar work than any other purchase I have made in Belize, including my vehicle, but he wasn’t up for standing behind anything he’d done after we’d paid him in full. | Three inverters melted which he installed. We were without fans, washer, lights for extended periods, during the hottest times in the year. Also a distributor caught fire recently melted which I neglected to have the company examine when I had the other work he’d done, evaluated. After nearly losing our home to fires from his installed equipment, it seemed to be past time for a second opinion. When I paid a different company to come in and do an evaluation of the equipment, they showed me where he had wired the system up backwards, so of course the inverters melting were par for the course. He claims it was my daughter’s fault for spilling water on the batteries…Really? Three times? I don’t believe he would have had the gall to come up such b.s. if there was a male figure present, but myself being of slight stature, and not having the time or resources now to wage legal warfare in a foreign country, I guess he considered me a pretty good target. | This “businessman” hides behind a guise of doing volunteer work to help the poor & needy. He finally admitted that he was not really a solar expert, but after having installed a solar system in his own home from instructions he found on line, he “felt” he should be able to repeat the process for others. (!) I was writing this report to warn single Mothers & people with disabliities about the ungodly ethics of this man, but wait a minute… Doesn’t everyone have a Mother or a sister or a wife they care about? A sad thought, but true, any of your loved ones could become a widow or even become disabled overnight. Is it really a good idea for even the wealthiest of business owners to patronize people who are lacking in basic honesty & skills they purport to have? I don’t know home-owners & business-owners…What do you think?
