All Roadside Towing Review

These guys have taken the art of Bait and switch to a whole another level! I had a rental RV that was stuck on a ramp. I called these guys to come help me pull the RV out. I was quoted $150 on the phone for the pull out after explaining the exact situation and the make and model and size of the RV. When the truck driver showed up within 30 min, he indicated that he may need a larger truck to do the job. So he took a photo of the RV and sent it to his boss to get an estimate for the “larger truck” to be brought in. Within 20 minutes we get a text back saying the total cost of the “larger truck ” to do the job will be $300. I agreed. Within 15 minutes, the guy hooks up a chain to his own truck that was there and says “I’m not sure if this is going to work but I’ll give it a try”. He then waits for his boss to arrive on the scene. By then 2 hours had already passed. Before he attempts to pull the RV out, his boss seeing our desperation puts a receipt in front of me to sign for $590! I reminded him that he had quoted me $300 for a larger truck, how does he justify charging $590 when the truck is the same, the RV is the same and nothing has changed? To which he quickly responds “that’s $300 per hour from the time our truck leaves the towing company until it gets back there”!! Obviously these guys have done this bait and switch thing many times before ! I was desperate and had already wasted so much time waiting that I ended up paying the fee instead of waiting for another truck. It took the truck driver a total of 10 minutes to pull the RV back with the first truck that was already there in the first place. I would never ever call these guys ever again. I will be complaining to BBB about them as well. If you get stuck, call someone else.
