Complaint: My wife took her laptop in for a problem that was keeping her from using the computer. She specifically told them, u201cDonu2019t add anything and donu2019t change anything. Just fix the problem.u201d Steffanie told her they wouldnu2019t do anything without talking to her first. They kept it 1 u00bd weeks and didnu2019t even look at it until she called on the 6th day. The technician told her it was u201cadwareu201d and would cost $150 and take 2-3 days to remove. When she called back, Steffanie told her, u201cYou have a full blown virus that lets anyone get on your computer and do anything. It will cost $225 to remove.u201d She didnu2019t realize that couldnu2019t be true, since that isnu2019t the way viruses work. But it scared her enough that she was willing to pay the higher price. When she went in to get the computer she learned that they had added at least 3 programs and made at least one change that she didnu2019t want. She very calmly and politely told them why she was dissatisfied. They said nothing, as there was nothing they could say. This is a terrible business, and we will never return there. BTW, their warrantee period is a whopping 48 hours u2013 and they only agree to u201cdiscussu201d any problems you have during that period.
