Complaint: We are an IT consulting firm that was hired to provide subcontractor services to a client of 1Staff’s in September 2013. We are still awaiting our $12,000 payment for these services from 1Staff. We contacted the client who informed us that we performed the service to their satisfaction and the client paid 1Staff in full. Over a one year period we have made repeated phone calls and emails to Marty Vanderheiden at 1Staff attempting to collect the money owed to us with no success. Over a month ago, Marty did respond saying that he intends to make payment which indicated that he acknowledged we are owed the money. Subsequent emails were not returned. We provided the services and paid our staff salaries for providing this service. 1Staff has kept the funds that they received from the client and has not paid us the $12,000 we are due. Even with a subcontractor agreement in place, which clearly defines the context of the relationship, and with services delivered that the end customer is happy with, we remain unpaid. From our experience, dealing with 1Staff is a risk that isnu2019t worth taking.
